NO BusSpot this week

Friday June 26 there will be NO BusStop. See you in July :)

Money matters???

Well we went on a chase to find the most expensive EVERYTHING last friday and talked about the dangers of wanting what someone else has.

Quote:
ENVY is the art of counting someone else's blessings instead of your own.Kent Crockett

Satan loves to stir up discontentment because, when we complain, we are stating that God isn't good enough to us. As if giving us the life of His only Son wasn't enough by itself.
Remember take the time to thank God for all that you do have. Do it often.
Being thankful prevents greediness, envy, and lots of other sins.

I'm thankful. We have 29 squares to go towards our blankets.
Congratulations to Bec, Sophie, Felicity and Rachael who have all finished there squares. I know that Callum, Georgia, Peter, Sarah and Bronte will have theirs done really soon. We will give them just a bit longer so that everyone's squares are in the same blanket. Thanks to all those who have been knitting and who are still knitting - it would be really great to get two blankets done.

We will not meet the following week June 26 as I will be away!!Make a date to knit some more.

What is God like?

Thanks Georgia for opening some discussion on what God is like. It is one of those topics that could go ON and ON and ON :)
Remember that one of the ways that we know what God is like is through his Son Jesus. Check out this you tube video. We have seen this in church before but it is always good to be reminded how amazing our King is. Do you know Him??

How do other people know what God is like?? By the way WE live and love.

Well done guys the knitting is coming along nicely!!
I know that it can be slow going and not the most exciting think that you might do in a day, but remember it just might be the most thoughtful think that you do this term. You can make a difference in someone elses life - one square at a time. Sometimes having a deadline is helpful, so here goes. Squares need to be finished by July 3, so work towards that date so that your square will make it into our first (and maybe only) blanket. Squares finished after this date will make up blanket No.2 or be given to Armidale Community Church to meet some other squares.
Many thanks to those who are knitting squares to help us out.

We came, we ate, we ran, we talked (a lot)

Our blanket is going to look fantastic. (random sock???)

Capri has a way of being the centre of attention

Well progress is certainly being made with our knitting squares BUT how much we are responsible for .....remains to be seen. HOW IS YOUR KNITTING COMING ALONG?

We discovered that the blankets will be going to girls who live in Gulu which is in northern Uganda. These girls have been child soldiers in the L.R.A and given as "wives" to other soldiers. These girls are now physically free but only the love of God can heal their mental and emotional brokenness. The blankets will be just one token of that love.

If someone you know would like to knit a square to donate. the details are a s follows.
4mm (size 8) knitting needles.
50-55 st cast on to make a 10" (25cm) square.
Bring donated squares to BusStop - maybe we can make 2 blankets???

For those family or friends interested - Armidale Community Church has a group meeting every Monday morning from 12 midday called the Knitting Sisterhood. Bring lunch and knitting. Colour Conference DVD's will also be shown.
