April 3

Hi friends this is our last BusStop for Term 1 and you will need to get ON THE BUS to attend :)
If you get on the bus before Bronte and you see her struggling with some extra gear - give her a hand. She has been on excursion for three days.
We will be planning the Term 2 calendar so come armed with ideas.
Felicity will be doing the devotion and some creativity will be required for arvo tea - come see.

Big Bikkies, Flowers and the Power of Kindness

Welcome Maddie.
Can you find Peter?
Today was our first attempt at some random acts of kindness. We have learnt a couple of things from the experience. Sometimes random acts require a little planning :)
We had more success with our gifts of flowers than "finding" people who needed us to do something for them. We will have to be content with taking those opportunities as they arise in life - day to day. Bec received the best response "thank you, I have had the worst day and you have just made my week"! I think it was worth doing just for this one lady.

Next time you see Ross make sure you say thanks - those bikkies were YUM.

Colossians 3:12-14 (The Message)

So, chosen by God for this new life of love, dress in the wardrobe God picked out for you: compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, discipline. Be even-tempered, content with second place, quick to forgive an offense. Forgive as quickly and completely as the Master forgave you. And regardless of what else you put on, wear love. It's your basic, all-purpose garment. Never be without it.

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN STRENGTH AND COURAGE
It takes strength to be firm.
It takes courage to be gentle.
It takes strength to stand guard.
It takes courage to let down your guard.
It takes strength to conquer
It takes courage to surrender.
It takes strength to be certain.
It takes courage to have doubt.
It takes strength to fit in.
It takes courage to stand out.
It takes strength to feel a friend's pain.
It takes courage to feel your own pain.
It takes strength to hide feelings.
It takes courage to show them.
It takes strength to endure abuse.
It takes courage to stop it.
It takes strength to stand alone.
It takes courage to lean on another.
It takes strength to love.
It takes courage to be loved.
It takes strength to survive.
It takes courage to live.

"....as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you norforsake you. Be strong and of good courage...." (Joshua 1:5b-6a)

Thanks for this Tash.

Balloons, Monsters and Washing

Well week 2 has come and gone but not without balloons, Monsters and a little washing :0

Thanks guys (well actually girls) for practicing your R.A.K skills by bringing in the washing.

Georgia did a great job of our first youth lead devotion.

Perfect love (God's love) does cast out all fear.

Fears are a natural part of life but when we bring our doubts and fears to our loving Father God he has a way of dealing with them one by one.

I just love that he doesn't leave us on our own, he journeys with us every step of the way. Just remember to include him in the everyday stuff of life.

Someone must have been coaching you guys - this week time trial .......1:54mins

We might need to reduce the number of people and see how we go!!

You all did a fab job of making your Monster cards - that's right and we are not talking big cards here are we. I know that God will use them in a very special way in the lives of those that receive them. I can't believe that they all looked so unique AND I didn't take a photo of them:(

Have a great weekend. Don't forget to pull your bibles out and quiet time material if you have it and spend some time with the one who knows you best.

the winners!!

Our MANTRA??? Um... maybe not the best word. English has never been my strongest subject.

Definition of mantra - in simple terms repeated song, tune or hymn
noun
1.
a commonly repeated word or phrase; "she repeated 'So pleased with how its going' at intervals like a mantra"
2.
(Sanskrit) literally a 'sacred utterance' in Vedism; one of a collection of orally transmitted poetic hymns

OK, ....our Vision statement is

- Matt 22: 37-39

37Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' 38This is the first and greatest commandment. 39And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'
