Second Chance Friday

Let's start with the Time Trial.
There was more than a second chance needed here. Our talented Junior High set themselves the task of getting just 1 ewe into the round yard! this proved to be quite difficult to execute. Sheep like to BE TOGETHER. Get one on it's own and it goes a little freaky, dodging, jumping and finally escaping the best laid plans of it's captors.
thirteen minutes and thirty three seconds later they had three secured in the round yard, they then rounded up two and left one very panicky on it's lonesome.

Bronte lead a devotion based on the story of Noah, NO, NO, JONAH :)
We talked about how gracious God is and how he is the GOD of second chances. Noah, NO,NO JONAH got a second chance and so too did the Ninevites. BUT Noah, NO, NO JONAH was not so happy about God's mercy to others.
God gave us the ultimate second chance in sending Jesus, to live and die (taking on himsef our SIN) and rise again so that we can be in relationship with Father God.

Jonah 3:10 (The Message)

10 God saw what they had done, that they had turned away from their evil lives. He did change his mind about them. What he said he would do to them he didn't do.

Is there any area in your life that you need to turn away from?? so that you are right before God?? Remember that he is the God of second chances.

After praying over the technology we finally got to watch a Jonah snippet from Vegie tales.

PLUS we started working on a drama for church that also happened to be about second chances. it will involve a litle cross dressing but that can't be helped :)
